The beginning

Domori was founded in 1997 by Gianluca Franzoni, driven by an audacious dream: to safeguard the world’s most precious cacao varieties and unleash their extraordinary aromatic potential.

A visionary founder

While living in Venezuela, Franzoni fell in love with Criollo cacao and dedicated himself to rewriting its history. With rigor and creativity, he designed innovative methods of fermentation and delicate roasting, introducing a new culture of tasting and quality that changed chocolate forever.

From its headquarters in None, near Turin, Domori continues to pioneer fine cacao culture, working closely with farmers, supporting biodiversity, and inspiring chefs and artisans worldwide.

Our mission

We strip away the noise: no additives, no shortcuts – only pure, gently roasted cacao, revealed in its raw, natural brilliance. While others smooth out the edges, we keep the wild heart of cacao alive, offering chocolate that stays true to its nature – complex, aromatic, and ever-changing with the seasons.
