In 2026, the contest becomes fully international, opening its doors to pastry chefs from all over the world. Created by Aromacademy and The Signature Collection, Panettone Awards is more than a competition. It is a journey of discovery, craftsmanship and excellence dedicated to the art of panettone.

A global stage for signature panettone

Panettone today it is a universal language of craftsmanship, creativity and leavened products culture. 

This fifth anniversary edition marks an important milestone for the contest, opening a new international chapter while staying rooted in the values that shaped its identity from the beginning: authenticity, precision, creativity and respect for the discipline.

How does the competition work?

The Jury

The competition is chaired by Davide Malizia, World Champion of Pastry and Gelato and member of Relais Desserts International.

The jury will bring together outstanding representatives of the main pastry associations and leading figures from the international pastry world, forming a high-level technical panel dedicated to evaluating the finalists’ creations with expertise, rigor and authority. Additional jury members will be announced soon.

Who can participate?

Panettone Awards 2026 is open to professional pastry chefs from all countries. Participants are invited to present their own interpretation of traditional panettone while respecting the official competition regulations and technical requirements.

No. The competition welcomes pastry professionals from different backgrounds who work within the official competition discipline and technical requirements.

  • the completed participation form,
  • the signed contest rules,
  • the payment of €183.00 (VAT included) to Aromacademy

What type of panettone must be submitted?

For the first selection, participants must submit a traditional panettone that complies with the official regulations of the contest.

Panettoni are evaluated through blind tasting and technical analysis based on aesthetic appearance, crumb structure, inclusion distribution, taste and overall execution.

Yes. Selected participants will receive detailed instructions regarding shipment timing and technical requirements.

Yes. Panettone Awards 2026 is an international competition and accepts international shipments from selected participants worldwide.
